In November 2019, David, with his life partner, Fran, visited Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa. This trip involved active participation in the Club of Rome Annual Meeting of Members and a Public Summit, and various engagements with faculty, students, and local leaders hosted by the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and the Human Sciences Research Council.
