TONIGHT, David will be wearing his board-chair-of-YES!-Magazine hat at the second annual Celebration of People Power at Seattle Town Hall, with best-selling authors Alice Walker (The Color Purple), Frances Moore Lappé (Diet for a Small Planet), Hawaiian musician Makana, Fran Korten and the incredible YES! family of staff, interns, and volunteers – and hundreds of YES! friends.

Some tickets are still available online, and will be sold at the door beginning at 6pm. If you’re not in the area or otherwise unable to join us, the program, beginning at 7pm, will be live streamed at YES!

This is YES!’s big fund-raiser; any tax deductible donation received today will be matched by a group of generous donors who support YES!’s “Positive Ideas, Practical Actions!” We hope you’ll say YES, too!

And, David recently participated in an extraordinary gathering with several indigenous leaders from around the world. As the Rio +20 Summit approaches, I think you’ll find his YES! blog post, “Don’t Commodify Nature,” including reflections on this experience and the contrasts between the prevailing Western worldview and the ancient wisdom of indigenous people, of interest.

Thank you for all you do!
